At Full Speed
So, I realize that I haven’t updated this in two weeks now, but I chalk it up to an increasingly busy schedule, a migraine followed by a nasty cold, and an extended trip to Scotland. I’ll be writing more about those later (at least the schedule and the Scotland trip, probably not so much the sickness) within the next few days when it’s not 1:40 in the morning and I don’t have to be up in 5 1/2 hours. I just wanted to write a little something in here to say that there will be an extensive update soon involving what I’ve been up to since the trip to Bath, my trip to Scotland, and my upcoming Spring Break trip to Paris and Florence! Just for my own purposes of keeping track, I can now add the following to my list of Places I Have Visited:
Bath, Bath Abbey, The Royal Crescent at Bath (Georgian Bath), Roman Baths, Whitehall Banqueting House, Tate Britain, Gate Theatre (at Notting Hill Gate, for “Unbroken”), West India Quay/Docklands, Big Ben & Parliament (exterior), Westminster Abbey (exterior), the London Eye (exterior), Piccadilly Circus, the Apollo Theatre (where I saw Three Days of Rain with James McAvoy), Edinburgh Scotland, Edingurgh Castle, Calton Hill monuments at Edinburgh, Scottish National Museum, National Gallery of Scotland, The Elephant House (a café where J. K. Rowling wrote most of the first Harry Potter book), Canongate Kirk (a church in Edinburgh where I attended a Renaissance Singers’ concert), Scottish Parliament, St. Giles Cathedral (Edinburgh), Glasgow, Glasgow Gallery of Modern Art, St. George’s Square (Glasgow), Glasgow Cathedral, the Tricycle Theatre (at Kilburn, for “Damascus”).
And most of that in just two weeks (slightly more when including Bath). More details to come!
